Founded in 1972, the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) is committed to promoting professionalism and ethical standards in the interior design field. With over 8,000 members distributed across 31 chapters in India, IIID serves as a representative force globally. The institute offers diverse membership categories, fosters collaboration with national and international organizations, and facilitates education through a comprehensive syllabus for interior design.
IIID actively supports its members through services that encourage fellowship, ethical conduct, and communication with authorities. The institute conducts continuing education programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance the skills of its members. Through the monthly magazine "INSITE" and a dedicated web portal, IIID ensures effective communication and knowledge dissemination within the community.
Recognizing excellence in interior design is a core focus for IIID, with annual awards programs such as IIID-ANCHOR Awards and collaborations with Godrej Interio for the IIID-GODREJ-Innovation Awards. The institute also organizes exhibitions and theme-based seminars to showcase materials and services related to building and interiors. Additionally, the bi-annual National Convention "NATCON" serves as a platform for members to address significant issues and set new standards in creativity and solidarity within the interior design profession. Overall, IIID continues to play a pivotal role in advancing the interior design profession in India and beyond.
